# Webhooks

> We notify you when a document finishes.

  **Coming soon.** Webhooks are not available yet. In the meantime, use direct mode (you wait for the result in the same call), `stream` or `GET /documents/{id}/events` to follow a document in `background`. This page describes how they will work.

Register an HTTPS endpoint with `POST /webhook-endpoints`. The `secret` (`whsec_…`) is returned **only once**.

* By default only final events are sent: `document.ready`, `document.failed`, `document.canceled`. Never document content.
* **Standard Webhooks** signature: headers `webhook-id`, `webhook-timestamp` and `webhook-signature` (HMAC-SHA256).
* Retries for \~10 h (5 s, 30 s, 2 min, 10 min, 30 min, 1 h, 3 h, 6 h). Deduplicate by `webhook-id`.
