When to choose Syncfusion Document Editor
- You need track changes and real-time co-editing in Word.
- You open formats Doconda doesn’t edit: .doc, .rtf, .dotx or HTML.
- You already have a .NET backend or use other Syncfusion components.
- Your company qualifies for the community license: under USD 1 million in annual revenue, 5 developers or fewer, 10 employees or fewer and never more than USD 3 million in outside funding.
When to choose Doconda
- You want to open the .docx as is in the browser, with no service converting it and no intermediate format, and keep whatever the editor doesn’t touch (styles, charts, notes) unchanged on save.
- You need Word, PowerPoint and Excel with one component and one license.
- You prefer to pay per organization, without counting developers, users or documents, monthly, yearly or one-time.
- You want to match your brand: theme, colors, fonts, toolbar and your own buttons.
- You already use the Doconda API: the edited file is saved as a new version of the document, with its review and its PDF.
